"The Light Ponder"
An art exhibit in partnership with the Atlanta High Museum of Art, showcasing the stories and creativity of refugees through painting, drawing, writing, and interactive design.
"Home Through Our Eyes" is an art exhibit celebrating the resilience, belonging, and cultural identity of refugee communities. Through the creative work of refugee students and artists, this project gives refugee voices a platform and creates a meaningful space for connection and understanding.
This initiative showcases powerful artwork in painting, drawing, writing, and interactive design—each piece telling a unique story of displacement, hope, and the meaning of home. The exhibit celebrates the undestructible spirit of our refugee community and honors the courage it takes to build a new life while honoring one's heritage.
By partnering with the Atlanta High Museum of Art, TMF creates a platform where refugee artists can share their work and their stories. This project builds trust and visibility for refugee communities everywhere, demonstrating that home is not just a place—it's the warmth of family, the echo of laughter, the traditions we protect, and the memories we hold close.
"When we got to America, it was like a giant hand reached out and pulled us in. Connection truly created possibilities for us. We were treated as humans. And not just any humans, but humans with great potential to grow and give back - so we're going to do just that."
